You’ll love all the things you can learn at this site, I do!

The internet is a wonderful resource of knowledge. Nowadays, whenever you need to get an answer quickly, you can just “Google” it.

That’s great if you are looking for something simple like, “Who played the lead role in the movie Forrest Gump?” Spoiler alert, it was Tom Hanks.

But what if you want to learn something more substantial, like how to build a handcrafted guitar from recycled wood? Home projects like this are all the rage online. They’re called do-it-yourself (DIY) projects and millions of people are participating and learning tons of new skills.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a site that compiles all kinds of DIY projects and is updated regularly? Good news, there is.

Instructables is a place that lets you explore, document, and share your creations.

The site hosts an online community from around the world that has posted over 100,000 projects since its inception. You can find just about anything on Instructables from cooking, crafting to 3D printing.

If you like learning nifty kitchen tricks you can find out how to peel an egg in four seconds, or how to set up a complete kitchen for $100. There are even simple recipes for the beginner, like how to make brownies.

There are so many categories to choose from, you might find yourself exploring the site for hours at a time. Don’t stay online too long, though, get out there and tackle one of those amazing project ideas.

To get started on Instructables, click the link we’ve provided below in the blue box. Or, click here to visit the home page.

Keeping your DIY instructions

Once you’ve found the perfect DIY project for yourself, you’ll definitely want to keep a copy of the instructions for later. That means you’re going to need a dependable printer.

We recommend that you take a look at our sponsor, Epson’s line of revolutionary EcoTank WorkForce printers.

These unique printers yield of up to 11,000 black and white pages or 8,500 in color pages just with the ink in the box, Epson’s EcoTank printers forego the use of the traditional inkjet cartridges by using their own user refillable high capacity tanks. Compared to the mere 500 black and 450 color pages you get from even the high capacity inkjet cartridges, this is an extremely significant improvement.

Replacement EcoTank ink sets are much, much cheaper too. A complete EcoTank set will cost you about $58 with yields of up to 6,500 pages. A complete color inkjet set for a comparable non-EcoTank printer will cost about $150 and that will only yield up to 2,300 pages. That’s a whopping 80 percent savings compared to traditional inkjet cartridges.

The initial cost of the Epson’s EcoTank line of printers may be a bit steeper than conventional inkjet printers but they more than make up for it in the long run. Epson estimates that with the initial ink that comes with EcoTank printers, an average user won’t need replacement ink for two years!
