Get delicious, unique recipes for what’s already in your pantry

Right now, most of us are stocking up at the grocery store to avoid going back every few days for just a couple items. We’re buying the basics, and that can make whipping up fun new recipes hard.

No, we don’t have fresh ginger or whole cumin seeds sitting around, either.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t make something great for your umpteenth home-cooked meal. If you’re stuck in a rut, we’ve got a resource you’re going to love: MyFridgeFood.

The premise is simple: As long as you have a few basic ingredients in your pantry, you can create delicious meals. You just need recipes based on what ingredients you already have available.

MyFridgeFood lets you quickly give it an inventory of your fridge’s contents (well, beyond the fridge, to be accurate) and finds recipes you have all the ingredients for in its database. How cool is that?

MyFridgeFood can take even the barest refrigerator and pantry and give you some bright ideas for your next tasty meal.

To get started, head to MyFridgeFood and check off all of the ingredients you have in your refrigerator from the checklist. (Yes, we know how plain this site looks. What it lacks in looks, it makes up for in utility.)

After you’ve selected everything you have on hand, click the “Find Recipes” button.

Take our measly selection: bacon, barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, chicken breast, green peppers, pasta, rice, potatoes and oil. We can turn all that into bacon wrapped barbecue chicken (yum!), easy chicken rice casserole (the kind of comfort food we need right now), crockpot chicken pot pie, or so many other yummy-sounding meals.

If nothing else, MyFridgeFood is a great way to see how much you can do with what you have on hand, whether or not you choose to follow the recipes. We could all use some kitchen inspiration sometimes.

Other pages include handy cooking and food prep tips on subjects like how to get more juice from lemons, how to keep your cheese from getting hard, and much, much more.

What unique and tasty creations will you make tonight?
