Finally! Chevy’s all-electric car hitting showrooms across America

What company comes to mind when you think of electric vehicles? Most people would say Tesla. It’s currently considered the king of the electric car market, in both performance and popularity.

However, Chevrolet is about to take Tesla on head-to-head. Its Bolt EV is prepared to hit the streets nationwide and will be a great option for those looking for a reasonably priced electric car.

How does the Chevrolet Bolt stack up?

The Bolt EV, unveiled at last year’s Consumer Electronics Show, is an electric car that features blind-spot detection, parallel parking assistance and the ability to stay in a lane. Plus, it has rearview cameras that feed images to the rearview mirror and can go 238 miles on a single charge.

As far as performance, the Bolt will be able to go from zero to 60 mph in less than 6.5 seconds. Very impressive for an electric car.

It also sports a 10.2-inch infotainment screen, 4G cellular and smart Bluetooth pairing with smartphones. Plus, it can tell who is driving it based on the key and adjusts its settings to match.

Not bad features for the price. The Bolt starts at $37,495. On top of that, there’s a federal tax initiative, which is good for a $7,500 credit, which puts the Chevy Bolt at just under $30,000.

Conversely, the Tesla Model 3 sedan will sell for $35,000 and is eligible for the same tax credit, which pushes the Tesla down to $27,500.

Which car would you rather drive? The Tesla or the Chevy? The battle of the electric vehicles has begun!
