Kim’s Opinion: Why Apple is pulling out all the stops tomorrow

Remember those days when an Apple unveiling would be an event that shook the world? An amazing smartphone called an iPhone? A razor-thin laptop called a MacBook Pro? A tiny smartwatch that can do it all?

And then, after the applause and the praise, the fans would start lining up at the Apple Store, for weeks, to be one of the first to own a new Apple gadget.

Those days seem long gone, don’t they?

But after almost two years of minor and oftentimes disappointing updates to its products, tomorrow is the big day for Apple and Apple fans worldwide. If the insiders are correct, tomorrow is going to be a literal blitz of new products.

Hang on, because those lines we used to see may be back.

Just in time for the holidays, tomorrow, Apple will unveil three new iPhones — I’ll have details on all three tomorrow before the unveiling.

Look for at least two new iPad Pros, new Apple Watches — some with larger screens, a new entry-level laptop, and a new Mac mini desktop computer aimed at high-end professional users.

There hasn’t been anything like this in years.

Last year, Apple learned a lesson — putting its meager new products up for sale just before Thanksgiving. This year, look for everything new to hit stores within just a few weeks.
