We’ve all heard the stories about the best and worst time to buy certain things. Candy? Just after Halloween and Valentine’s Day is best. Big-screen TVs? Just before the Super Bowl.
Don’t buy grills in July — they’re too in-demand. Now, with October here, there’s one category to stay away from: Technology.
I’m going to save you a ton of money right now. Listen up, there are really no good sales going on right now in tech.
It’s a really bad time to buy any electronics. I’m talking about TVs, laptops, tablets, phones, headphones, surround-sound speakers and the lot.
Black Friday deals and those pre-Black Friday deals will be here before you know it. So far, we’re expecting to see doorbusters and online sales for a 40-inch 4K TV for only $125. The overall savings are significant, as prices on tech between now and Black Friday usually drop 30%.
Online doorbusters will begin on Monday of Thanksgiving week and the ads start appearing in less than a month.
Do yourself a favor. Resist temptation, and save a boatload of money.
