Kim’s Opinion: Facebook hacked again

We keep warning you about Facebook and all the sketchy things it does with your information. But the worst is that it makes it easier for hackers to get so much from you.

Now, the worst hack ever on Facebook has compromised some 50 million accounts. This affects much more than only your Facebook account.

Last Friday evening, Facebook announced that hackers took over 50 million accounts. And when I say take over, that’s exactly it. The hackers could use Facebook just as if they were you.

Here’s the rub. Your Facebook account isn’t the only one in the hands of hackers. This shocking security breach also gave attackers the same level of access to any accounts and sites you use your Facebook account to log in with. So if you tied your Facebook account to Messenger, Airbnb, Instagram, Spotify, Tinder or any other apps or sites, hackers have complete access to those accounts, too.

Go to your Facebook settings and under Apps, turn them all off. Or do what I did. Delete your Facebook account. It’s been so refreshing.
