Great news: Costco is now selling Macs online

What comes to mind when you think of warehouse club stores? Probably that you can pick up a lifetime supply of paper towels for about 12 bucks.

But retailers like Sam's Club and Costco offer so much more than just toiletries and samples of cake. Nowadays, you can buy pretty much anything under the sun. From appliances, to car tires, to patio furniture and everything in between.

There has been an essential tech item missing from Costco's lineup. Until now.

Mac computers now at Costco.com

If you've never shopped at Costco, for just $60 per year you can get a Gold Star membership. It's valid at all Costco locations worldwide and online.

And there's some great news. The company started selling Apple computers on its website this week.

Now you can order the latest MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and iMac models on the Costco website. As with most items sold from Costco, some of these Macs kicked off at a discounted rate.

For a limited time, Costco members could order select Mac computers at up to $200 off retail prices. Even better, some models come with AppleCare+, which gives you extended coverage that normally costs extra.

The original sale prices ended on Friday, Dec. 14, but keep checking Costco's site, there's sure to be more to come. If you're looking to gift one for Christmas, keep in mind delivery isn't guaranteed to arrive before the big day.

There is a Warehouse Pick Up option with Express two to three Business Days delivery though. That might be the way to go.
