So you fancy yourself to be pretty smart, eh? You know a lot about a lot, and feel like you are the most intelligent person you know?
There's nothing wrong with that, unless you are the type of person who likes to remind everyone around about your brilliance Those people probably do not have many friends, and since we like you, we're confident that's not your style.
But even though your genius knows no limits, have you ever wanted to test it? To stretch those brain muscles and see how you compare to other smart people?
That's what Mensa is for
Since you know so much, Mensa is already something you are aware of. But just in case, it is an international organization made up of of high-IQ people that promotes intellectual exchange among its members.
Founded in 1946, the idea was to form a society for bright people whose only requirement for membership was a high IQ. There are around 134,000 members from more than 100 countries in the group, whose activities include lectures, journals, special-interest groups, local, regional and national gatherings as well as many other projects and events.
In order to be a part of Mensa, one must have an IQ score within the upper 2 percent of the general population. That, or a 98 percent or better score on an approved intelligence test that was properly administered and supervised.
You think you've got what it takes?
Mensa is always looking for new members, and if you are as smart as you think, the prestigious club could soon open its doors for you. Mensa's website offers a 30-question intelligence quiz that, while not being a qualifier for being admitted into Mensa, will give an idea of how ready you may be for the real challenge.
If you do not have time for 30 questions (and a smart person like you probably has a busy schedule), Popular Science created a four-question test that will give you a taste of what it takes to be a part of Mensa.
Of course we both know you have what it takes, but just to confirm, you might as well click here to take the test and confirm it.
