It's coming! The newest version of the iPad Pro will be here next week, and with its arrival, we will finally start to turn rumors into fact.
As in, we will finally know what kind of features it will have, and we will finally know how it is an improvement on previous versions. The closer we get to its official release date the more we seem to be learning, and so far, it all sounds pretty good to us.
We once thought it would be a couple of months until Apple released the new iPad Pro, but rumors are swirling that it will be unveiled at a special education-focused event on March 27. That's less than a week away, but while you anxiously wait here is what you need to know about what it will probably bring to the table.
First off, when will it be here?
As previously stated, there is a growing belief that the new iPad Pro will make its debut on Tuesday, March 27. Apple has not confirmed that to be the case, so it's possible this is more hope than expectation.
If not that Tuesday, then the iPad Pro will probably show up in early June, when the Worldwide Developers Conference is held in San Jose, California.
Regardless of when it actually gets here, at some point, there will be a new iPad Pro. Even if you have to wait a bit longer than you wanted, if you can afford to do so, it very well might be worth it.
Oh yeah? What am I getting?
Think iPhone X (pictured above), only bigger. The home button will probably disappear, and the bezels will likely shrink. The hope is the notch that was introduced to the iPhone will not make an appearance, but we'll have to see about that.
As for features, if there is no home button that would mean a Face ID camera or other sensors would be necessary to unlock the iPad. It would be similar to what is found on the iPhone X and is one of the more likely features to be found in at least one of the new iPods.
Similar to the iPhone X, the iPad's screen is likely to see an increase in size even if the device itself isn't as large. It's unknown what kind of screen the iPad will have, but it is not likely to copy the iPhone X with an OLED screen given the difficulty in finding supplies for one of that size.
Those updates are things you will notice immediately, but there will also probably be some nice features under the hood, such as the A11 Bionic chip that is found in the iPhone X or maybe even the A11X Bionic chip, which would lead to the iPad having better performance and graphics than any previous iPhone.
