What’s coming and going at Netflix in April
Netflix

This is absolutely not an April Fool's Day joke - tons of great movies and exciting new original programs are coming to Netflix next month. From cult classics to modern blockbusters and epic originals. Netflix has you covered!

As expected, some of your favorites are leaving too, as usual, so catch them before they all go in April.

Notable movies arriving in April include the classic crime drama "Scarface," teen angst vampire movie "The Lost Boys," two live-action "The Flintstones" movies, the cartoon favorite "The Iron Giant," psychological thriller "Se7en," period dramas "Cold Mountain" and "The Man Who Knew Infinity," and cult favorites "Speed Racer," "Mortal Kombat" and "Sin City."

But the biggest highlights are the Netflix originals including the spectacularly promising "Lost in Space" TV series reboot and "The Boss Baby: Back In Business" expansion TV show. Everyone loves The Boss Baby, right?

Lost in Space (Netflix Original)

Remember "Lost in Space"? Yes. Both the groundbreaking TV series from the sixties and the so-so 1998 remake with Gary Oldman and Joey from "Friends." Well, the Robinsons from space are back, courtesy of the Netflix revival machine.

This brand new Netflix original series is still based on the original show's premise - a family of spacefaring pioneers collides with a spacetime wormhole and they're all transported to an unknown planet. Could they find a way back home or are they marooned for life?

The trailers and previews for Netflix's version look spectacular. The show is definitely looking like a mix between "Gravity," "Interstellar," "Alien" and "The Martian." And we all know that if there's anyone who can do nostalgic sci-fi properly, it's Netflix.

"Lost in Space: Season 1" warps to Netflix on April 13.

The Boss Baby: Back in Business (Netflix Original)

I'm totally ecstatic that a whole series of brand new "The Boss Baby" episodes are on their way to Netflix this month. Why? "The Boss Baby" is probably every toddler's favorite movie and they watch it relentlessly. It gets old after the 13th viewing, you know?

Thankfully, Netflix just produced an entire TV series devoted to the suit-wearing, board meeting-taking, money-raining business baby and his ragtag team of, err, more babies.

"The Boss Baby: Back In Business" is opening shop on April 6.

Unfortunately, content leaving Netflix in April includes the 1990’s "Batman" films, "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and its sequel "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls," "Apollo 13," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "The Shawshank Redemption," "The Pursuit of Happyness," "The Prestige" and other old classics. Better catch all your favorites before they leave in April.

Make sure you don’t miss anything next month! Read on to see the full lists of what's coming and what's leaving Netflix in April.
