Maybe you've thought about losing some weight, but don't have the time to regularly work out or play some sports. Eating better would help, but that can be a bit pricey and besides, the best tasting foods tend to be the ones that are worse for your health.

It's all a cruel joke, really. A cruel, not funny joke.

Working up the willpower to completely change our lifestyle to the point where we can fit in the gym or better eating is not easy, especially when life doesn't seem to allow us much free time to do it right. As many of us know, there is a litany of excuses one could turn to in order to avoid doing what it takes to lighten the load on the scales.

You'll start going to the gym tomorrow, so you should allow yourself to binge today.

What if all you had to do to drop pounds was sit?

If you are seeking out the newest weight loss product that will allow you to shed some pounds without having to do all that much in the way of exercise or dietary changes, you may be in luck with the Modius.

This is the point where you are probably saying to yourself (or the person next to you), "what's a Modius?" Well, it is a headset that claims to stimulate the part of the brain that is known to control fat storage, metabolism and appetite.

According to Modius, all those things are controlled by the hypothalamus, which can be stimulated by way of the vestibular nerve, which is located just behind our ears. To use Modius, you place an adhesive pad just behind your ear and then attach the headset to it. From there, you control the intensity via an app on your smartphone.

The headset does not appear to be all that awkward, which is good because you need to wear it for 60 minutes per day in order for Modius to be effective. It is meant to be worn while you are sitting or lying down, which would seemingly make it perfect for people who either don't have time to exercise or are averse to the concept altogether.

Produced by a British company, Modius costs £369.00, or about $515 U.S. While that seems like a lot for something that may not actually work, Modius does offer a 90-day money back guarantee. However, if you like it and keep it, the initial cost is not the only time you will have to pay up.

The headset comes with a three-month supply of wipes and pads (for the sensor that goes behind your ear), and after those run out, you will need to either spend £27.49 ($38) every three months for a subscription, or £29.99 ($42) to receive them on a month-by-month basis.

Why not play a game while you are sitting around with your Modius on?

Since there are nearly 2 billion websites in the world, the potential of spending hours exploring is still there. But, with so many available sites it can be difficult to find what you're looking for. We at Komando.com like to help do some of the work for you.
