These digital Super Bowl predictions might upset you

Can you feel the excitement in the air? Football fans are all abuzz knowing that the biggest game of the year is almost ready for kickoff.

The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the New England Patriots this Sunday in Super Bowl LII (52).

Every year before the big game actually kicks-off, it is simulated in the Madden video game. This year's results might just tick you off.

Madden 18's Super Bowl LII prediction

EA Sports, the creator of the Madden NFL video game, runs a simulation every year prior to the Super Bowl to predict the outcome. This tradition began in 2004.

Last year, the video game was correct with its big game prognostication. Madden 17 simulated the Patriots would top the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 27-24. In actuality, New England won by the score of 34-28 in a thrilling comeback victory in overtime.

This year's simulation has the Patriots beating the Eagles by a score of 24-20. Check out the action in the following video:

According to Madden, the Eagles will take the early lead with a Jay Ajayi touchdown. However, the Patriots take the lead for good following a couple Tom Brady touchdown passes. The Eagles have the ball in the final moments of the game with a chance to win but a desperation pass to the end zone falls incomplete.

If this prediction comes true, it will be the Patriots sixth Super Bowl victory with Tom Brady at quarterback and Bill Belichick as head coach. The most of any QB and head coach combination of all time. This is upsetting to some people; they say they are sick of seeing the same team constantly winning.

Patriots' fans, on the other hand, are ecstatic. They even have the hashtag #notdone going around on social media. This lets fans weigh-in on their love of the Patriots and how they are not finished winning championships.

What does Siri know about the Super Bowl?

Madden NFL 18 isn't the only piece of tech getting in on the action. Siri is even getting involved.

If you use Apple's Siri, you would expect the digital assistant to know rudimentary information about the Super Bowl. Things like, what time does the game start? What will the weather be like in Houston on Sunday?

You might be surprised to find out how much knowledge Siri actually has. Apple has given her the ability to answer more in-depth Super Bowl questions.

Siri can now tell you things such as how to get to the nearest sports bar and book you a post-game ride. When you ask her who will win the big game, instead of making a prediction, Siri tells you what the Las Vegas odds are. "The odds favor the Patriots over the Eagles by 4 and a half points."

No matter who you are rooting for, it looks like we're in for an amazing finale to the NFL season. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. EST, 3:30 PST on Sunday.
