Facebook is probably your go-to source for social media. Since there are nearly 2 billion active monthly users, that's true for many people.

But there are plenty of other fun social networking outlets that you can participate in. Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr to name a few.

Instagram is another popular forum, especially with your kids and grandkids. It's actually a super entertaining way to express yourself and a new feature is making it even better.

Instagram adds fun new feature

Instagram is a simple way to capture and share the world's moments. You can follow your friends and family to see what they are up to and discover accounts from all over the world that are sharing things you love.

The site recently added a new feature that lets you add creativity to your story. It's called GIF Stickers.

GIF Stickers lets you add fun, expressive GIF stickers to any photo or video.

How to use GIF Stickers

When you tap to add a sticker to a photo or video in stories, you will see a GIF option. Tap it to open a library full of hundreds of thousands of moving stickers powered by GIPHY.

Simply browse what is trending on GIPHY, or search its extensive collection of GIFs to find a sticker for just about anything. These animated stickers help make any photo or video funny, interesting and creative.

Instagram also said that in the coming weeks, it will roll out the ability to upload photos and videos of any size to your story. This way you'll never have to lose part of a photo or cut a friend out of a group video. When you upload a photo or video, pinch to share it in its original dimensions, whether it's square, portrait or landscape. Any extra space will be filled with a custom color scheme that matches what you've shared.

To take advantage of GIF Stickers, you must have the most updated version of Instagram. That's version 29.0 on both iOS and Android.

You can turn your photos into a work of art like the one above. Give it a try, your kids are sure to love it.

Here's another fun story, recently discovered footage from the 1950s shows one of the world's earliest video phones

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of video phones? For me, it brings back memories of the classic animated series "The Jetsons." Despite my admiration for that cartoon, it, in fact, wasn't the first to foresee video calling.
