Have you ever watched a video that made you think, I don't know, this might not be real? I've seen many videos like this over the years.

Grainy footage, allegedly showing a wild Big Foot or Loch Ness Monster. Maybe aliens are more of your interest and you can't get enough videos showing UFOs.

Now, a video is going viral of a man biting an iPhone battery, and get this, it explodes!

Is this for real?

For me, the following video falls into the "it might not be real" category. However, it's being reported by Taiwan News that this is legitimate, and not a staged situation. Watch the clip for yourself:

What you see in the security camera footage is a man recently visiting an electronics store in China. The unidentified man wanted to test if a new iPhone battery was real. He decided to do so by biting it. Apparently, this is a thing in China, that's how they test the authenticity of gold.

Needless to say, chomping down on the battery was not a good idea. The battery ruptured and exploded. Luckily, the man had already taken the battery out of his mouth before the explosion and he and no one around him were hurt.

What do you think? Did this incident really happen or did the man stage the video?

As you might imagine, this video is going viral on social media. People all across the globe are wondering why anyone would try and bite into a lithium-ion battery.

The man hasn't said why he bit the battery, but that doesn't really matter now does it. The lesson here is, don't take a bite out of a battery or any of your gadgets. There are better ways of testing them that won't put you in danger.

Here's another intriguing clip, it shows footage from the 1950s of one of the world's first video phones

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of video phones? For me, it brings back memories of the classic animated series "The Jetsons." Despite my admiration for that cartoon, it, in fact, wasn't the first to foresee video calling.
