Can you believe it? July is almost over and August is almost here. And you know what each new month brings - fresh sets of new movies and TV shows on your favorite streaming services!

It's not a lot but Amazon Prime Video is adding more great content in August including five of the horror-thriller "Saw" movies, two "Teen Wolf" films and two "Bill & Ted's" cult classics.  Other favorites like "Ghost," "Save the Last Dance," "Valkyrie," "The Dead Zone," and the unrated version of "Superbad" are also gracing the streaming service next month.

Also, don't forget to check out the quirky English redubbing of a 1980's Romanian cop TV show called "Comrade Detective." It'll be interesting how an all-star cast with the likes of Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Nick Offerman and Kim Basinger lent their voices to resurrect this obscure propagandist classic.

Here are other highlights in August:

Lost in Oz (Amazon Original)

Also coming in August is Amazon's anime adaptation of Frank Baum's beloved children's classic "Wizard of Oz."

"Lost in Oz" tells the story of a 12-year-old girl named Dorothy and her dog Toto as they're trying to get back to their Kansas home after unexpectedly getting transported to the magical land of Oz, making new friends along the way.

This animated series features the voice talents of Ashley Boettcher, Allison Mack and Nika Futterman and lands on Amazon Prime Video on August 4.

The Tick (Amazon Original)

Who remembers the TV series "The Tick" from 2001? It was a hilarious but short-lived live action adaptation of the comic book with the same name.

Fans of the series will be ecstatic to know that Amazon is bringing it back starting next month!

This time, the series will focus on a small-time accountant who discovers his city is ruled by a super villain. As he tries to uncover the truth, a blue costumed super hero comes to his aid.

"The Tick" stars Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman and Valorie Curry and the adventures start on August 25.
