What's new on Amazon Prime Video this June
Star Trek

The days of May are winding down, June is almost here and you know what that means - fresh sets of new movies and TV shows are coming to our favorite streaming services!

In case you didn't know, it's not just Netflix that adds new content to its service each month, Amazon does the same for Prime Video!

In June, be sure to check out timeless flicks like war epic "Apocalypse Now," Tom Cruise in "Magnolia," Michael Keaton's comedy-drama "Mr. Mom," Demi Moore in "The Scarlet Letter" and the heist films "Ocean's Eleven" and "Ocean's Twelve."

Tons of old westerns and classics can be streamed too, like "West of Nevada," "Six-Gun Trail," "Wanderers of the West," "The Silver Horde," "War Comes to America," "The Savage Wild," "Winterset" and "Tarzan of the Apes." Fans of the golden age of cinema will surely enjoy these new Prime additions!

Kung Fu movie aficionados will likewise be mightily thrilled that Amazon is bringing a bunch of obscure kung-fu classics like "The Invincible Armour," "Fighting of Shaolin Monks," "The Fatal Flying Guillotine" and "Drunken Arts and Crippled Fist" to its Prime Video service as well.

That's a lot of great classics but if you'd rather watch recent hits instead, the big blockbuster Prime addition in June is the third installment of the Star Trek reboot, "Star Trek Beyond."

Star Trek Beyond (2016)

"Star Trek Beyond" follows the continuing adventures of the crew of the USS Enterprise as they "boldly go where no man has gone before."

In this action-packed third chapter, our heroes are left stranded on a strange planet when their ship is destroyed by an unknown alien race of ruthless warriors. Left to fend for themselves, Captain Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Sulu and the rest of the USS Enterprise must find a way to defeat their new enemies and escape the deadly planet they're marooned in.

"Star Trek Beyond" is directed by Justin Lin and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg and the late Anton Yelchin.

It will land on Amazon Prime Video on June 17.
