The days of May are winding down, June is almost here and you know what that means - fresh sets of new movies and TV shows are coming to our favorite streaming services!
Notable additions to Netflix are classic favorites like the psychological war movie "Full Metal Jacket," the Bruce Willis horror flick "The Sixth Sense," the Mel Brooks/Gene Wilder comedy "Young Frankenstein," the thriller "Zodiac" plus brand new seasons of "Orange is the New Black" and "Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
But as always, content will be departing Netflix too. Titles leaving us in June include "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," "The Little Rascals," "The Blair Witch Project," "This is Spinal Tap" and every season of "CSI: NY," so be sure to catch all of your favorites while you can.
Here are the other top movies and shows you will surely enjoy:
Disney's Moana (2016)
Disney's treat for June is the computer-animated film "Moana," which was actually released in movie theaters just six months ago.
The animated flick tells the story of the titular Moana, a Polynesian chief's only daughter and heir, who is tasked by the Ocean to convince the demigod Maui to return the stolen heart of their island goddess, Te Fiti, and restore the prosperity of her people.
Moana was a commercial and critical success when it was released so make sure you check it out with the whole family.
The film features the voice talents of Auli'i Cravalho, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Nicole Scherzinger and Rachel House. "Moana" splashes into Netflix on June 20.
Glow - Netflix Original (2017)
"Glow," a Netflix Original Series, is a humorous look at a 1980's women's professional wrestling group, the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW). Set in Los Angeles, it follows the exploits of a struggling actress turned female wrestler and the rambunctious wrestling group she's suddenly thrown into.
Produced by the same people who brought us "Orange is the New Black," "GLOW" stars Alison Brie, Marc Maron and Betty Gilpin.
The 10-episode 1st season will hit the Netflix ring on June 23.
Okja - Netflix Original (2017)
"Okja" is the latest movie from Bong Joon-ho, director of the critically acclaimed sci-fi thrillers "Snowpiercer" and "The Host."
It is about a girl who risks it all as she tries to elude an influential multinational corporation from kidnapping her giant creature-friend Okja for experimentation. Don't expect this to be a simple, light-hearted flick but a tale filled with social commentaries about animal rights, capitalist greed and scientific ethics.
This Netflix Original movie stars Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano and Seo-hyun An.
"Okja" arrives June 28.
