As you may very well know, Netflix is not the only game in town when it comes to a great library of video streaming content. Amazon likewise provides access to thousands of movies and TV shows through Prime Videos, a perk for Amazon Prime members.
Amazon Prime Video's library is not just a collection of old movies and TV show reruns either. It includes ( yep, you guessed it right) quality award-winning original content like "Transparent," "The Man in the High Castle," and the immensely popular car show "The Grand Tour."
Next month, there's a whole new collection of great content coming to the online shopping giant's streaming service. From old classics to new seasons of current favorites, Amazon is primed for primetime!
The Dressmaker (2015)
"The Dressmaker" is a 2015 movie based on Rosalie Ham's 2000 novel of the same name.
It tells the tale of the talented dressmaker Tilly Dunnage, who after spending most of her career in Paris high fashion houses, returns back to the small Australian outback town she was exiled from as a young child.
Armed with just a sewing machine and her exquisite fashion sense, she plots revenge on the people who have done her wrong in the past.
This 1950s period movie stars Kate Winslet, Liam Hemsworth, and Hugo Weaving. Catch this movie on Amazon Prime Videos starting on March 2.
You are Wanted (Season 1)
"You Are Wanted" is Amazon's first German-language original series and it's written and directed by its own lead star - the up and coming German actor Matthias Schweighofer.
It's about a man whose life is turned upside down after his online persona was hacked and gets falsely tagged as a terrorist. With his life in danger, he tries to uncover the truth behind this cybercrime and prove his innocence once and for all.
"You Are Wanted" premieres on March 17.
Annedroids (Season 4)
March also marks the return of the children's educational series "Annedroids," now on its fourth season.
It follows the story of 11-year-old science whiz Anne, with the help of close friends, tries to keep her three robotic creations a secret while solving life's little problems along the way.
This CGI and live action program was designed to teach children about STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and it is an excellent show to watch with the whole family.
"Annedroids" reanimates on March 3.
Other noteworthy additions next month include "Gimme Danger" - a rockumentary about the band The Stooges, the second season of "Hand of God" starring Ron Perlman, the fourth season of "Orphan Black" and the return of movies like "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" and the indie-favorite vampire mockumentary "What We Do in the Shadows."
