"Toy Story," "Up," "Finding Nemo" - what's your favorite Pixar movie? Mine is "Inside Out." With 16 Oscars and $10.6 billion in box office sales, Pixar is arguably one of the best animation companies in the business.
Did you know you have the opportunity to learn from the best? Pixar in a Box is a series of free videos where directors and artists from Pixar share movie-making advice.
Disney sponsored a partnership between Pixar and Khan Academy (a free education resource) to create Pixar in a Box. The third season of the project was released this week. Anyone who is interested can learn "The Art of Storytelling."

Note: If you have younger children who enjoy telling stories then they should try Toontastic. It's a free app by Google that lets them make animated movies. The kids get to be the actors, directors, editors and so much more!
The first section is already available. You'll hear from Pixar directors and story artists and the goal is to start thinking about the types of stories you want to tell. The next section will be about character development.
There are tons of other topics to explore from past seasons. You can learn about virtual cameras, animation, effects and so many other factors that go into making a Pixar film. And again, all of these lessons are completely free!
