3 product recalls that are ruining the holidays for tons of people

There's nothing like the feeling of unwrapping a gift that has your name on it, especially at Christmas time. But some recent recalls could spoil the Christmas cheer if you're not careful.

If you're planning to gift any of these items or receive them as a gift yourself, you need to know that the manufacturers have recently issued recalls.

Around 8 million Cuisinart food processors have been recalled for hazardous riveted blades. These blades have been found to break over time, leaving pieces behind in the processed food. So far, Conair - the product's manufacturer - has received 62 claims from people reporting incidents of this happening.

Here are the model numbers that are affected:

  • CFP-9
  • CFP-11
  • DFP-7

  • DFP-14
  • DLC-5
  • DLC-7

3. Chainsaws

chainsaws

Outdoor tools are a popular Christmas gift, but these chainsaws just don't cut it. Right now there are two separate brand recalls that have been issued.

The first is by Craftsman. These chainsaws have been shown to leak fuel, which makes them a fire hazard. Luckily, the recall only impacts around 19,500 devices with the following serial numbers: 41AY427S799 316.38070, 41AY429S799 316.38090, 41AY462S799 316.38098 and 41AY469S799 316.38188, and serial numbers 1K155XQ0198 through 1F076XQ0200.

Contact Craftsman at 1-866-864-2949 if you have already purchased one of these models.

The second recall is smaller, and by the Remington brand. However, it's for the same issue as the Craftsman recall. The recall only impacts around 8,000 machines with the following model numbers: RM4214, RM4218 and RM4620 and serial numbers 1K155XQ0198 through 1F076XQ0200.

If you have one of these model numbers, contact Remington at 1-888-848-6038.

Don't let these recalls ruin your holiday shopping plans. Pass this article along to all of your friends so that they won't waste money on these products either!
