Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 nightmare might finally be coming to an end. Millions of the phones had to be recalled since it was released in August due to an exploding battery. Then, it turned out that the replacement Note 7s had the same problem.
Samsung decided to kill production of the Note 7 for safety reasons since it wasn't able to stop them from overheating and catching fire. It's been a wild ride. Now, I've got some amazing photos of an exploding Note 7 that you have to see to believe.
Researchers at the Applied Energy Hub battery lab in Singapore took it upon themselves to see what it looks like when a Note 7 explodes. They continuously applied increasing pressure to the phone's battery until it finally exploded. Here are the results:
The phone begins to smoke:
The phone goes up in flames:
Burnt remains of the phone and battery:
As you can see, the exploding Note 7 flaw is very dangerous. If you or someone you know has one, you must return it and exchange it for a different phone. Your safety is at risk.
