Parents can be embarrassing. Ask any teenager. Throw in a handful of baby photos and unlimited access to Facebook and parents can quickly become even more embarrassing than any teen could ever imagine in their wildest dreams.
Take the case of an 18-year-old girl from Austria. She's suing her parents over more than 500 childhood pictures posted to Facebook and shared them with her 700+ friends.
The problem? These aren't photos the girl wants everybody to see. There are photos of her having her diaper changed and being potty trained - nightmare fueled photos for any teenager.
"They knew no shame and no limit - and didn’t care whether it was a picture of me sitting on the toilet or lying naked in my cot - every stage was photographed and then made public.”
The girl says she has requested that her parents to take down the photos several times and told her local paper, "I'm tired of not being taken seriously by my parents."
However, her father firmly believes that since he took the photos, he has the right to post them.
Who do you think is right? A judge will decide in November and the repercussions for the parents could be big. If the judge rules in favor of the girl, the parents could have to pay her legal fees and other compensation.
