Attention Apple users! Mark your calendars! Tuesday, September 13 is the official launch day for iOS 10! And, according to Tim Cook at Apple's big event this week, it's the biggest update to the operating system, ever.
iOS 10 is expected to have many great features and when it comes time to update. We've already shown you a few things to expect, such as the totally overhauled Messages, receiving water damage warnings, Siri updates and a brand new lock screen.
But now, Apple has revealed new features that should get you excited to update. Here they are:
#1. Changes to your Lock Screen. With iOS 10, you'll be able to customize your Lock screen so you can have quicker access to the apps you use the most.
#2. See what's on your computer from your phone. If your surfing session was abruptly ended on your computer, open up Safari on your phone and there your link is. Like magic.
#3. iOS 10 can tell you where you parked your car. I repeat, your iPhone can now remember and remind you exactly where you parked your car.
#4. GIF keyboard. Now you won't need to download a third-party app to send fun GIFs to your friends and family. They will be built into the Messaging app.
#5. The photos app will make a video of your favorite pictures. The section is called Memories and it puts together a fun video of all your great snaps from a specific album or certain time period.
#6. You can delete default apps. Before, you would need to use this trick to hide default apps, but now Apple is letting you get rid of the ones you don't use, once and for all, without hassle.
#7. Delete all of your notifications at once. Before, you could delete all notifications for one app at once. Now, you can delete all your notifications from all apps with one swipe.
