According to Microsoft, Windows 10 is now running on more than 350 million active devices. This number is up by 50 million since their last report in May and it should spike up even more as we approach the end of their free upgrade program. It is still short of their target of a billion active users within the first two to three years but this rapid adoption growth is surely encouraging for them.
If you have Windows 7 or 8.1 and you haven't updated yet, you should think about doing it soon before the free Windows 10 upgrade program ends on July 29. Yep, you only have two days left so act fast.
Windows 10 has a lot of great new features. These include faster startups, new multitasking features, a fresh new browser, the great new start menu and enhanced integrated search with Cortana are just a few of the enhancements you'll be missing out on if you don't upgrade.
For system administrators, Windows 10's enhanced digital signature verification and control flow guards are just some of the under-the-hood enhancements for improved security.
Come August 2, more new features and improvements will be rolled out with the big Windows 10 Anniversary Update. For the regular user, Windows 10 security upgrades like biometric user authentication with Windows Hello and two-factor verification with Microsoft Passport may even make passwords obsolete and a thing of the past.
