There are officially 85 days until fall. That means there's at least 85 more days, probably more, of wondering what in the world Apple has in store for us with the next iPhone.
I've already heard that Apple likely won't change the next iPhone dramatically, but instead is saving the major design change for the 10-year anniversary of the iPhone in 2017.
But I've also heard other rumors of some kind of big changes - no headphone jack, wireless earbuds, dual-camera, it will be waterproof - but now there's a whole new batch to take into consideration.
Here are some of the latest whispers:
- It's not the iPhone 7. A credible source on Twitter said that it's likely to be named from within the iPhone 6 family.
- On top of silver, gold and rose gold, the next model could be available in all black or a similar dark color like "space black" or deep blue.
- Removing the headphone jack is a big change to adjust to. Therefore, there might be two versions of the next iPhone - one with the headphone jack and one without (likely the iPhone 7 plus).
While the next Apple event won't be until sometime in September, this is what we've got to work with. What do you think? Are the rumors true? What do you think they will call the next iPhone? Let me know your thoughts by posting in the comments below.
