With summer in full swing, most parents and grandparents will be taking their small children to big places. Crowded places too, like theme parks, the zoo, a museum, a baseball game, the beach, a waterpark ... the list goes on.
These places are busy, especially in the summer, which makes the possibility of being separated from your child a reality. It's an awful thing to even imagine, but the Clovis Police Department in California is sharing a tip that could save countless lives.
Tip #1: Write your phone number or other contact information on the child's wrist. Next, cover what you wrote with liquid band aid. This will make the markings waterproof. Now if the worst happens and you get separated, even if it's just for a minute, someone will be able to contact you immediately.
Tip #2: Take a photo of your children right before you go out. Now, you'll have a very recent photo with the clothes they are wearing, hair style, or any other identifying marks.
