1970 quarter selling for $35,000! Do you have one?

1970 quarter selling for $35,000! Do you have one?

Did you ever think that 25 cents could someday become the equivalent of $35,000? That's pretty weird math, right?

Well, start emptying your pockets and coin jars. Check the floor of your car and under the couch cushions for loose change. If you're rolling coins at this very moment, just stop what you're doing right now, and check out the quarters you have in your hand. You may be in possession of a very rare coin.

Right now there is a quarter up for auction on eBay that has not been sold yet, and the bidding is up to $35,000. It was minted in 1970, but that's not what makes it unique, even though you would still have a very old coin in your midst.

According to ABC News, "What makes the quarter valuable to collectors is an error: A '1941' persisted just above the word 'dollar' on the back of the coin. It takes a very close inspection to see the date. The quarter on eBay is displayed in a case with a label reading '1970 S 25C struck on 1941 Canada 25C 5.63 GR mint error PF 65.”
