Apple's new "spaceship" headquarters being built in Cupertino might be big and flashy, but in China, things are a little different.
The place where more than 50,000 are employed for low wages to make Apple iPhones has been photographed for the first time since accusations of poor working conditions, deaths of workers, excess overtime and grueling working conditions surfaced. What's inside might not be what you were expecting.
Workers are subjected to facial recognition checks when it's time to clock in and out, have to line up as if they were in the military, and are worked on a very tight schedule where "every second counts."
