This would be a good time to get Photoshop. If you're the least bit sensitive about how you look, or how old people think you are, you should steer clear of this new, fun app.

The dating site Blinq, in partnership with the Computer Vision Laboratory at ETH Zurich, have developed an app called HowHot.io that guesses your age. Plus, gulp, it tells you if you're hot or not.

Specifically, when you upload a picture of yourself, it will judge you on a scale, from "Hmm" to "Godlike." In between are "OK," "Nice," "Hot" and "Stunning."

There's some compelling-sounding research behind Blinq's and ETH Zurich's HowHot.io site. According to the site, its "computational pipeline comprises a face detector, convolutional neural networks for the extraction of deep features, standard support vector regression for gender, age, and facial beauty, and - as the main novelties - visual regularized collaborative filtering to infer inter-person preferences." Whatever that means.

It says the app has an accuracy rate of about 76%. If you give it a shot tell us in comments if you think HowHot.io's results are accurate.
