Amazon Prime has just about everything you could ever want: Thousands of free streaming movies and TV shows, a place to store your photos, thousands of hours of streaming music, free shipping, two-hour delivery and there even may be drone delivery soon. What else could it possibly offer to make it better?
Video games. The online retail giants announced today that Prime members will now get 20% off of new video games purchased on Amazon ... including collector's editions.
But, here's the fine print:
- Games must be ordered before their release date, or have to be ordered in the game's first two weeks of availability.
- Digital downloads don't apply. To get the discount, you will need to purchase a physical copy.
With the average game costing $60, the discount cuts the cost down to around $48 to $50. That's pretty significant savings if you or your teen play a lot of video games, minus the $99 price tag of a Prime membership.
