Here are the cars that are getting Apple CarPlay

Last summer, at the World Wide Developers Conference, Apple showed off some of the capabilities of its car entertainment system, CarPlay. The system is designed to automatically sync with your iPhone so that you can safely use your phone in your car.

Basically, CarPlay would allow drivers to use certain apps through an in-dash display, rather than on their phone itself. In fact, the system would sync up to the designated phone without having to remove it from your purse or pocket, and would bring up apps for music streaming, taking calls, listening to podcasts, etc.

This seemed like a great idea, but there was a small problem. Back then, no one knew which cars would have the ability to support CarPlay. But now, Apple has finally released a list showing which manufactures and models CarPlay will be available in.

To see the most popular makes and models on the list, click through to the next page. And, if you don't see your favorite make and model on the list, don't worry. We're sure more models will be added in upcoming years. Apple is also working with stereo companies to make CarPlay a feasible option to be added in any vehicle.
