If you like to play games on your large-screen TV (like the one you unwrapped yesterday), you can now play a whole lot more of them. If you like to play newer games like Angry Birds or traditional board games like Monopoly, you're in luck.
Google has rolled out several new games for its Chromecast streaming media player. The little gadget, which attaches to your TV set via its HDMI port, is best known for streaming TV shows and movies.
But you can also use Chromecast to play games on your TV set. Google just rolled out several new games for Chromecast including Angry Birds Friends and Monopoly Here & Now (see photo).
Other games, based on Hasbro board games, include the Game of Life, Risk, Yahtzee Blitz 2.0, and others. You can play with other people. While you're playing on TV, they can play with you on their smartphones or tablets.
Note: If you didn't get the streaming media player for Christmas that you were hoping for, you can pick one up for as little as $35. Before you start shopping, though, visit the exclusive Komando Streaming Media Player Comparison Charts, to find the one that's right for you.
