When it comes to smartphones, we all recognize the major brand names: Apple, Google, HTC, Samsung, Sony and BlackBerry. But, chances are, you've never heard of Oukitel.
Maybe it's time that you did. Especially since the China-based company has just announced its plans to release a new smartphone that does something other smartphones can't. The new K10000 is said to have a battery that will hold a charge for up to two weeks. We think that's something worth talking about!
Most smartphone users are happy if their phones last longer than 10 hours on one charge. Depending on the amount of use, sometimes it's even less. Far less. But since there haven't been any better alternatives introduced in the market, this pesky feature is something we all overlook. Or, we buy bulky battery-charging cases that weigh us down.
The new K10000 will operate with Android 5.1, and include the following features:
- A 1GHz quad-core Media Tek processor supported by 2GB of RAM
- A 5.5-inch display with 720p resolution
- An 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera
- 16GB of storage space + support for a microSD card
Battery life aside, the K10000 might not be enough smartphone to satisfy many smartphone users. However, if you're someone who just uses your smartphone for basic Web browsing, apps and functions, this may be the phone for you. It may not have all of the bells and whistles that come with other smartphones, but it does pack a lot of power when it comes to a battery charge that lasts.
