You've had your eye on the Apple Watch since the new collection was released earlier this year, but with a price tag over $350, maybe you've been waiting for the perfect deal. Well, now it's here.
Apple has just announced a limited-time, in-store promotion offering savings to anyone purchasing an iPhone and Apple Watch together. Customers will receive $50 off an Apple Watch Sport, or Apple Watch, when they purchase an iPhone 6s, or 6s Plus.
Apple is making this deal available from October 30 to November 15, 2015. You do not need to purchase AppleCare+ or other add-ons to qualify for the discount, and you won't find the deal available online. Currently, the deal is only available at participating stores in California and Massachusetts, although if it's successful Apple will likely try it elsewhere.
The timing of the discount is interesting. Since the release of the Apple Watch, Apple has been questioned repeatedly about how well the product is selling, but has avoided the release of sales information thus far. Apple claims to be withholding the information to prevent competitors from gaining insights from the figures. But could it be that the Apple Watch just isn't selling well?
We'll see. Depending on its success, this promotion may be expanded to other locations in upcoming months to boost sales of the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport.
