It's official, the Christmas shopping season is kicking off in a big way for video gamers. We recently told you our predictions for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

Starting on Thanksgiving day, and the Friday and Monday after, you're going to see low prices on big-screen TV sets, including 4K TVs. You'll also see great doorbuster deals, including low, low prices on a limited supply of tech gadgets like 40-inch HDTVs.

Doorbuster deals are also online, and if you're a video game player or you've got one on your shopping list, you're going to want to set a reminder for this one in your calendar. On Thanksgiving evening, at 6 p.m. Eastern Time, computer maker Dell is going to have a deal for a $299 Xbox One game console that normally retails for just under $470. That's a savings of more than $170.

This 500GB (black only) Xbox comes with loads of bells and whistles. It has two controllers, instead of one, and a 3.5mm headset.

Dell's $299 Gears of War doorbuster also comes with a "Gears of War" game download, and a "Fallout 4" disk. Just remember, this is a doorbuster sale so, as Dell says, there are "limited quantities."
