If you love cars, these are great times. There may have never been a richer time in history for the advancement of cars and technology than today.
Just think about all the electric vehicles on the road. That includes Tesla, the Silicon Valley car company founded by Elon Musk, which he created to not only build cars that don't use fossil fuel, but also to make powerful and luxurious cars that the most discerning drivers would love.
We've also been telling out driverless cars, like the Google self-driving car that it has been testing, and a car that Apple is developing. (Note: If you haven't heard the Kim Komando podcast about driverless cars, including a conversation with a Google executive about its self-driving car, check it out here: see 9/9/15.)
But, did you know that electric cars have been around for more than a century? In fact, in 1900, 38% of cars were electric (40% were powered by steam; 22% were powered by fuel).
That's just one piece of information in a really fun infographic, and just one history lesson about cars on this fun site. If you're a real car nut, or just a fan of American history, you can take a virtual tour of the history of cars.
