The new iPhone 6s is selling faster than last year's iPhone 6. People are really digging the latest model with its 3D Touch controls and 4K video-shooting capabilities. Some people want one so badly they're willing to sell a kidney.
China has a flourishing black market for organs because there aren't many donors in that country. So when two men, friends Wu and Huang, wanted the new iPhone 6s, they decided to each sell a kidney. They found someone online who said he'd buy them, and after being told to go get medical tests at a local hospital, Wu and Huang were supposed to meet the broker.
The man who wanted the kidneys didn't show up to the meeting and Wu had second thoughts, but Huang was still determined. Wu called police to try to stop Huang from selling his kidney so he could afford the iPhone 6s, but Huang has disappeared, according to a report in the Independent.
If you're lusting for the brand new iPhone 6s, which arrives in stores next Friday, there's no need to sell an organ. Apple itself is offering payment plans on the devices, as are all of the major carriers. Click here to find out what iPhone 6s payment plan is the best.
