Ah, the never-ending battle between those who love Apple and those who hate it: It's destined to go on forever, but at least it will give us entertaining moments like this latest one. There was one announcement Apple made at the big iPhone event that got Android folks hot under the collar.
It has to do with dumping your Android and switching over to Apple, and we can't believe that Google allowed this to happen.
The "Move to iOS" app is what's creating quite a stir among Android users. A customer with an Android can download this app and use it to transfer all the data from that phone to their new Apple gear.
It seems like a logical step to make transferring between devices easier for users, but it does come as a surprise that the two competitors are working together.
"I call on my fellow Android comrades to ensure this app gets drowned into oblivion with a one-star rating never to be seen again on our cherished platform. I've given it one star only because they won't allow a similar app on the App-Store, to move to Android (or any other platform for that matter)," Segun Omojokun, an avid Android user, wrote angrily in the reviews of the Move to iOS app.
Not every Android user is rushing to leave bad comments, though. One reviewer wrote, "While I will never be an iOS user, I don't feel it necessary to download this app just to leave a fake review slamming Apple."
Only time will tell if the united world of Android customers will be able to put this form of blasphemy behind them, but as of right now they are not pleased, and we don't really blame them.
