How long does it take you to charge your smartphone from empty to full? The answer is "too long!" These days, manufacturers are paying attention more and more to charge time. Now some of the fastest charging phones are about to get even faster.
With this new type of technology, users will be able to snag a quick 80% charge in about 35 minutes. So by the time you're done with your shower or finished eating breakfast, your phone will be charged and ready to go.
This lightning-fast charging is all thanks to Qualcomm's Quick Charge.
Quick Charge is an option that's already built into smartphones and tablets with the Snapdragon processors such as the HTC One, the LG G3, G4 and G Flex 2, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and even some Blackberry models.
But with Snapdragon's brand new version, Snapdragon 820, comes the Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage (INOV) algorithm. This new function will let your smartphone or tablet "determine what power level to request at any point in time for optimum power transfer, while maximizing efficiency."
According to its data, Qualcomm's improved Quick Charge feature will be able to speed up the charging process like never before with the INOV program. Your gadgets will be able to charge over 38% faster than they ever have in the past.
This means that you won't have to sit and wait around for your smartphone or tablet to get a full charge. You'll be able to grab it and go, with a full battery and not a care in the world.
You can look for these Snapdragon 820 gadgets later this year with brands such as, "HTC, LG, Xiaomi and the likes."
