Guess which country watches the most TV?

The answer might not surprise you, but the average daily viewing time definitely will. TV watching trends are rapidly changing thanks to the Internet, and this new research shows how it's affecting our country as well as others.

According to research firm IHS, Inc., Americans (as you probably guessed already) watch more TV than anyone else. How much? Nearly six hours a day!

Italians watch the most TV in Europe, about 4.6 hours a day per person. Brits average only about three hours of TV per day.

The real interesting insight is into how we watch TV. Dan Cryan, the senior director of media and content at IHS, said in a press release, "We are seeing a quiet revolution in the way that Americans watch video." The report also notes that traditional TV watching in the U.S. is declining as online streaming from the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime grew 24% per person in 2014.
