Do you remember Facebook Notes? Yeah, me neither.
Debuted back in 2006, Notes was a way for Facebook users to upload longer posts, ones that wouldn't fit or were not appropriate in a status update. Notes has pretty much taken a backseat to other Facebook features since its inception, but now the social media giant is bringing it back and hoping that it encourages people to use the platform for blogging.
Currently being tested by a small group, Notes' makeover means that it will be a more prominent feature, easier to access and use, and has a new, sleeker design. Sidebars are gone and each post now has a banner photo. Take a look at the before and after photos of Notes, taken by TechCrunch.
But Notes has some competition. Most bloggers use other platforms, such as Medium or WordPress, for their blogs. Will Notes bring back blogging to Facebook or will this be just another failed experiment? Let me know your thoughts by posting in the comments below.
