Do you use the popular Mozilla Firefox Web browser? We've got good news and bad news. The bad news is there's a bad security flaw that lets hackers inject viruses and malware into your computer. The good news is that there's already a fix, you just have to get it.
Mozilla announced the glitch on Thursday, along with a patch to fix it. Mozilla considers this Firefox flaw "Critical," so Firefox users should download the upgrade immediately.
According to the company's press release, "August 5, a Firefox user informed us that an advertisement on a news site in Russia was serving a Firefox exploit that searched for sensitive files and uploaded them to a server that appears to be in Ukraine."
Mozilla products without a PDF Viewer, like Firefox for Android, aren't affected. Mac users weren't affected either, but should upgrade Firefox as well, because, according to Mozilla, Macs "would not be immune should someone create a different payload."
