Anne Hilborn / Twitter

We LOVE science here at Komando.com, and that's why we're always on top of the latest scientific discovery. From theoretical physics to space travel, there have been some great achievements in science recently.

But for every discovery, there are dozens of failed experiments. Even better, those failed experiments have been documented on Twitter under #FieldWorkFail for all to enjoy and each one is funnier than the next.

See the best of the best #FieldWorkFail tweets below and be sure to tell me your favorite one by posting in the comments below. Here are 11 of my favorites.

@tattoosandbones: Lick tiny object to discern if fossil/rock. Fossil. Sticks to tongue. Coughing fit from dust. Sharp inhale. Swallow fossil. #fieldworkfail

@KathyRPike: Accepted farmer's offer of cider before collecting pear tree samples. Got lost in orchard. Sat and giggled for an hour. #fieldworkfail

@biobabbler: Starting to fill water jug 4 camp in river, look a few yards upstream & see someone peeing in the river. #fieldworkfail
