You know what video chatting is. You've probably been using Skype for years! But what about "video texting?" Yahoo just unveiled its new Livetext app.

This fun and non-intrusive app allows Yahoo Livetext users to video chat, but without sound. Instead, the two involved in the video chat can send individual messages back and forth that are displayed at the top of the chat screen.

This odd new Yahoo feature operates with the same level of secrecy as Snapchat. This means that there is no record of the video conversations or texts sent after the chat concludes.

Arjun Sethi, Yahoo’s senior director for product management, thinks that this type of simple video communication can make for a more effective conversation.
