It's THE definitive mobile gaming sensation. "Angry Birds" may have faded a bit from the spotlight, but there's no doubt it was the first mega-hit mobile game and it paved the way for the success of "Candy Crush," "Fruit Ninja" and many more.
Now, for the first time in six years, there will be an official sequel.
July 30 is the chosen date when Angry Birds 2 will be unleashed unto the public. If you don't remember, Angry Birds is the game that launches virtual round birds at pigs to gain points. It may seem ridiculous but it actually is a blast to play with.
Rovio, the company behind the game, announced the sequel but failed to provide any more information about what may be included in Angry Birds.
It seems like Rovio wants to keep us on the edge of our seats until the end of the month.
The computer gaming company has been looking for a way to revamp its business model after Candy Crush took over the market last year. Rovio was forced to lay off over 100 employees last year alone after steadily declining profits.
I'll keep you updated as Rovio releases more information about Angry Birds 2. Until then, you better start brushing up on your bird slinging skills!
