When you log on Facebook, you can see an incredible amount of information on hundreds - even thousands of people you're friends with.
Even if you're not friends with them, you can search them out and bring up a photo, location and more. That's exactly what China is building - but about us! And they're doing it using the stolen information from the OPM hack and many, many others.
I've kept you updated about the massive Office of Personnel Management hack as it's progressed, but this is an interesting turn of events.
The Chinese are constructing an enormous database about millions of Americans that runs much deeper than we originally thought. They are compiling information on us that includes healthcare, financial and work-related data which can be used for a bunch of different espionage and surveillance reasons.
This expansive database could be used to find out even the most personal information about over 21 million American citizens, and specifically current or past government employees with security clearances.
Chinese government officials have been the main suspects behind this attack but there has been no formal accusation from the White House.
I'll make sure to keep you up to date with the latest news about this hack and any other data breaches that could affect you.
