If you have online purchases to make, I would wait a few days. Amazon is celebrating its 20th birthday on July 15 and, instead of accepting gifts, the huge online retailer is celebrating by giving customers huge discounts. Amazon is calling it "Prime Day" and it's expected to blow Black Friday out of the water.
Starting at midnight on July 15, Prime members can shop from thousands of deals "starting as often as every ten minutes."
Just like Black Friday, you can save on just about anything you could possibly think of. According to Amazon, you will be able to find savings on electronics, movies, clothing, toys, lawn and garden items, sporting goods and much more.
There's just one catch. Prime Day deals are only available to current Amazon Prime members in the U.S., U.K., Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and Australia.
Not a Prime member yet? Don't worry. You can sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime right now to take advantage of Prime Day discounts. If you choose to keep Prime when your trial is up, the membership costs $99 per year and includes plenty of great perks.
