Another day, another data breach. This one comes after suspicious card activity was detected on accounts used at the Trump Hotel Collection - as in Donald Trump. They say that all publicity is good publicity, but I don't think this is the type of attention he needs right now.
The hotel chain's executive vice president of development and acquisitions and son to Donald, Eric Trump, released a statement about this credit card breach.
He said, “Like virtually every other company these days, we have been alerted to potential suspicious credit card activity and are in the midst of a thorough investigation to determine whether it involves any of our properties.” The statement continues, “We are committed to safeguarding all guests’ personal information and will continue to do so vigilantly.”
Trump is having a rough week after his pageant show was cut from NBC and his Macy's clothing line was dumped after spewing racist comments about Mexican immigrants at a pep rally for his presidential campaign.
NBC also announced that Trump will no longer be the iconic host of "Celebrity Apprentice," and this security breach definitely isn't helping his image.
