Tired of running out memory on your smartphone? All those mobile photos and videos are probably taking up most of your gadget's valuable space. Google is here to help. The company's new Photos service is offering unlimited photo and video storage to every user absolutely free.
The offer isn't just for Android users, either. Anyone with an iPhone or iPad can take advantage of Google's great offer using an app for iOS. Google Photos is also available through any Web browser on both Windows and Mac computers.
Google Photos used to be a part of Google+, but now it's separate. That means you can easily share your photos to Facebook, Twitter and other social networks.
Google Photos isn't perfect, but the service features a bunch of great tools that'll make organizing your collection easier than ever.
Google made its name as a search engine, so it's fitting that Google Photos has a great search tool that's perfect for people with huge photo collections. It even sorts photos by three categories (People, Places and Things) automatically.
That's not all. It also automatically pairs related photos into groups called stories.
You should note that the free offer only applies to photos 16 MP and under and videos 1080p and under. That restriction shouldn't be a problem for most users, though.
