When does a silly trend or slang term become a full-fledged word? When it gets in the dictionary of course!
Merriam-Webster has just added 1,700 new words to the dictionary, including quite a few tech terms like "net neutrality," "meme," and even "emoji."
On the other hand, some of the terms, like WTF and NSFW have also been added. Seriously. Acronyms have been added and classified as abbreviations.
